In light of the new variants like JN.1 and HV.1, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) announced their plans to move Covid-19 and flu vaccination dates forward.

Millions of eligible people in the UK can book their Covid vaccines online after September 18.

UK Health Security Agency has almost 5,000 vaccination sites.  We now have more sites than ever before in the UK.  These sites are involved in the vaccine’s distribution this year.

Eligible people will be contacted by the NHS.  This includes “all aged 65 and over, pregnant women and those with an underlying health condition.” The NHS encourages everyone to arrange a booking.  Many will be able to receive a flu vaccines.

Over 30 million people are eligible to receive a flu vaccine. More than 20 million are able to get the new Covid vaccine.

You may be able to get a seasonal COVID-19 vaccine.  Certainly if you’re at increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19. For example, this may be due to a health condition or your age. The NHS will contact you if your NHS record suggests you may be eligible.

COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 6 months to 4 years old

Children aged 6 months to 4 years old who are at increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 can get a 1st and 2nd COVID-19 vaccine. They can then get a seasonal COVID-19 vaccination through their GP surgery.
